Cryogenic cut-off valve refers to the valve whose closing part (disc) moves along the center line of the valve seat. According to this movement form of the disc, the change of the valve seat opening is in direct proportion to the disc stroke. Because the opening or closing stroke of the valve stem is relatively short, and it has a very reliable cut-off function, and because the change of the valve seat port is in direct proportion to the stroke of the disc, it is very suitable for flow regulation. Therefore, this type of valve is very suitable for cutting off or regulating and throttling.
Characteristic:
(1) The structure is simpler than the gate valve, and it is more convenient to manufacture and maintain.
(2) The sealing surface is not easy to wear and scrape, and the sealing performance is good. There is no relative sliding between the disc and the sealing surface of the valve body during opening and closing, so the wear and scrape are not serious, and the sealing performance is good and the service life is long.
(3) When opening and closing, the disc stroke is small, so the height of the globe valve is smaller than that of the gate valve, but the structural length is longer than that of the gate valve.
(4) The opening and closing moment is large, the opening and closing is laborious, and the opening and closing time is long.
(5) The fluid resistance is high, because the medium channel in the valve body is tortuous, which leads to high fluid resistance and high power consumption.
(6) When the nominal pressure pn in the flow direction of the medium is less than or equal to 16 MPa, downstream flow is generally adopted, and the medium flows upward from the lower direction of the disc; When the nominal pressure pn is more than or equal to 20 MPa, the reverse flow is generally adopted, and the medium flows downwards from the upper direction of the disc to increase the sealing energy. When in use, the cut-off valve medium can only flow in one direction, and the flow direction cannot be changed.
(7) When the disc is fully opened, it is often eroded.
The small forged steel globe valve is the most widely used valve. It is so popular because the friction between the sealing surfaces during opening and closing is small, it is more durable, the opening height is not large, the manufacturing is easy, and the maintenance is convenient. Forged steel globe valve is suitable for medium and low pressure, and also suitable for high pressure. Its closing principle is that, relying on the pressure of the stem, the sealing surface of the disc and the sealing surface of the valve seat are closely adhered to prevent the circulation of the medium.
The forged steel globe valve only allows the medium to flow in one direction, and it is directional during installation. The structure length of the forging steel globe valve is greater than that of forged steel gate valve, while the fluid resistance is large and the seal reliability is not strong when operating for a long time.
