The valve suitable for medium temperature below-150 ºC is called ultra-low temperature valve.
Ultra-low temperature valves include cryogenic ball valve, cryogenic gate valve, cryogenic globe valve, cryogenic safety valve, cryogenic check valve, etc., which are mainly used in 300,000 tons of ethylene, liquefied natural gas and other chemical plants.
The exported liquid cryogenic media, such as ethylene, liquid oxygen, liquid hydrogen, liquefied natural gas and liquefied petroleum products, are not only flammable and explosive, but also gasify when heating up, and the volume expands hundreds of times during gasification.
The material of the liquefied natural gas valve is very important, and the material is unqualified, which will cause external or internal leakage of the shell and sealing surface; the comprehensive mechanical properties, strength and steel of the parts can not meet the requirements or even fracture.
Causes the liquefied natural gas medium to leak and causes the explosion.
Therefore, material is the most important issue in the process of developing, designing and developing LNG valves.
The ball valve operates by rotating the ball 90 degrees using a handle or actuator, which changes the alignment of the hole or passage. When the hole aligns with the inlet and outlet ports, the valve is open, allowing the fluid or gas to flow through. When the hole is perpendicular to the ports, the valve is closed, stopping the flow.
High pressure industrial ball valves are specifically designed to withstand and regulate the flow of fluids or gases under high pressure conditions, typically ranging from a few hundred to several thousand pounds per square inch (psi). These valves are constructed using robust materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, or other alloys that can handle the high pressures without leaking or failing.
When you need a forged ball valve, the fabrication process works a little differently from cast ball valves. Just like cast
valves, forged valve manufacturing begins with the design and engineering for the valve. You can choose many different design factors to suit your needs. Our team creates forged ball valves in a range of sizes, pressure classes, alloys, and trim packages. For instance, you can order our forged severe service ball valves in sizes ranging from ½" to 20" and classes from 150# to 4500# ANSI.
Once finalizing the valve design, our experts begin the fabrication process. Valve forging involves shaping metal components through mechanical forces, often using heat to make the steel more malleable. Valve bodies and internal components are all forged to provide strong, heavy duty, and reliable valves for your application.
