PVDF butterfly valve is a valve made of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) as the main material. It has the following characteristics: the butterfly plate is connected to the valve stem, and the valve stem drives the butterfly plate to rotate in the valve body. The structure is simple and compact, and it is easy to operate. PVDF material has excellent corrosion resistance and can resist the erosion of various strong acids, strong alkalis and organic solvents. It is suitable for pipeline systems with corrosive media such as chemical, electroplating, and pharmaceutical. At the same time, PVDF has good wear resistance and aging resistance, and has good sealing performance, which can effectively prevent medium leakage. Its flow resistance coefficient is small, and the pressure loss when the fluid passes through the valve is small, which can improve the operating efficiency of the pipeline system. And it is sensitive to movement, and can quickly realize the opening and closing operation to meet the control requirements under different working conditions.

The working principle of the PVDF butterfly valve is to control the opening and closing of the valve by rotating the butterfly plate, thereby realizing the on-off and flow regulation of the fluid, as follows:
• Opening process: When the valve needs to be opened, the valve stem is driven to rotate by a manual or electric, pneumatic or other driving device, and the valve stem then drives the butterfly plate to rotate around the central axis of the valve. As the butterfly plate rotates, the angle between the butterfly plate and the valve channel gradually increases, the fluid channel gradually opens, and the fluid begins to pass through the valve.
• Closing process: When closing the valve, the driving device drives the valve stem to rotate in the opposite direction, causing the butterfly plate to rotate to the closed position. The butterfly plate gradually rotates to a position perpendicular to the fluid channel. At this time, the butterfly plate fits tightly on the sealing surface of the valve, blocking the passage of the fluid and realizing the closure of the valve.
• Flow regulation: During the opening and closing process, by controlling the rotation angle of the butterfly plate, the valve can be opened at different degrees, thereby adjusting the flow of the fluid. The larger the opening angle of the butterfly plate, the greater the flow; conversely, the smaller the flow.

• Nominal diameter: Common ones include DN50 - DN1200, etc., which are used to indicate the diameter of the valve inlet and outlet channels.
• Connection size: According to different connection methods, such as flange connection, clamp connection, etc., there are corresponding connection size standards to ensure the correct installation and connection with the pipeline.
Pressure parameters
• Nominal pressure: Generally, there are PN1.0MPa, PN1.6MPa, PN2.5MPa, etc., which refers to the maximum working pressure allowed by the valve at the specified temperature.
• Test pressure: Including strength test pressure and sealing test pressure. The strength test pressure is usually 1.5 times the nominal pressure, and the sealing test pressure is generally 1.1 times the nominal pressure.
Temperature range
• Working temperature: The working temperature range of PVDF butterfly valves is usually around -20ºC - 100ºC, and the products of different manufacturers may differ slightly.
Material information
• Valve body material: PVDF material is used, which has good corrosion resistance and other characteristics.
• Butterfly plate material: generally PVDF or metal butterfly plate lined with PVDF.
• Sealing material: commonly used are EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber), PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), etc., to ensure good sealing performance.
