The fully welded flange ball valve is a ball valve that integrates the valve body parts into a whole through welding process and uses flange connection to connect with the pipeline. Its structural design and process characteristics make it outstanding in high-pressure and high-sealing working conditions. The following is a detailed description:
1. Valve body structure
Fully welded body: The valve body is made of two hemispherical or cylindrical shells welded by automatic welding process (such as argon arc welding, plasma welding), without bolt connection gaps, completely eliminating the risk of valve body leakage.
Material: Commonly used cast steel (such as WCB), stainless steel (304/316), low-temperature steel (LCB/LCC), etc., according to the medium temperature, pressure and corrosiveness, the pressure resistance level can reach PN16-PN100 (Class150-Class600).
Inner cavity treatment: The inner wall of the valve body is polished or coated (such as epoxy resin) to reduce medium adhesion and improve corrosion resistance.
2. Core components
Ball: solid or hollow structure, material matching the valve body, surface hardening treatment (such as nitriding, surfacing hard alloy), wear-resistant and erosion-resistant; the through hole is consistent with the inner diameter of the pipe to achieve "equal diameter flow".
Valve stem: stainless steel (such as 316), adopts an inverted seal structure. When the valve is fully open or fully closed, the bottom sealing surface of the valve stem contacts the valve body to prevent the medium from leaking along the valve stem.
Sealing system:
Valve seat seal: mostly adopts metal hard seal (such as stainless steel + graphite) or soft seal (polytetrafluoroethylene, PEEK), bidirectional sealing design, can withstand bidirectional pressure.
Welding seal: the valve body welding seam is 100% non-destructive tested (such as X-ray, ultrasonic) to ensure zero leakage.
3. Flange connection
Equipped with flanges at both ends (national standard GB, American standard ASME, European standard EN, etc.), the flange surface forms include convex surface (RF), ring joint surface (RTJ), etc., fixed with the pipeline by bolts, suitable for scenes that require frequent disassembly and assembly.
1. Opening and closing control: The valve stem is driven by a hand wheel, electric or pneumatic actuator to rotate the ball 90°. When the through hole of the ball is parallel to the pipeline axis, the valve is opened and the medium flows; when it is vertical, the valve is closed and the medium is cut off.
2. Pressure compensation: The fully welded valve body has strong rigidity and is not easy to deform under high pressure conditions. The valve seat sealing surface is squeezed by the medium pressure and automatically fits the ball to form a "self-tightening seal". The higher the pressure, the better the sealing performance.
