Product Description

The PPH check valve is a type of valve designed to allow fluid to flow in only one direction while preventing backflow. It plays a crucial role in various piping systems to ensure the proper functioning and safety of the system.

Body: The valve body is made of PPH (polypropylene homopolymer), which offers excellent chemical resistance, high temperature resistance, and good mechanical properties. This material ensures the valve can withstand the harsh environments of many industrial applications, especially those involving corrosive fluids.

Disc or Flapper: Inside the valve, there is a disc - like or flapper - like component. This part is responsible for controlling the flow. When the fluid flows in the correct direction, the disc or flapper opens to allow the fluid to pass through. When the fluid tries to flow in the opposite direction, the disc or flapper closes tightly to prevent backflow.
 

Seat: The seat provides a sealing surface for the disc or flapper. It is precisely designed and manufactured to ensure a tight seal when the valve is closed, preventing any leakage. In PPH check valves, the seat is often made of materials that are compatible with PPH and have good wear - resistance and sealing properties.

Forward Flow: When the fluid flows in the direction allowed by the check valve, the pressure of the fluid pushes against the disc or flapper. This force overcomes the resistance of the spring (if equipped) or the weight of the disc/flapper itself, causing it to open. As a result, the fluid can flow through the valve with relatively low resistance.
 

Backflow Prevention: When the fluid attempts to flow in the reverse direction, the pressure of the backflow pushes the disc or flapper against the seat. The force of the backflow, along with the assistance of the spring (if present), causes the disc or flapper to close tightly. This forms a seal that prevents the fluid from flowing back, protecting the system from potential damage caused by backflow, such as water hammers, contamination of upstream components, or disruption of the normal flow process.
