The pressure reducing valve is a valve that reduces the inlet pressure to a required outlet pressure through adjustment, and relies on the energy of the medium itself to automatically maintain a stable outlet pressure. From the perspective of fluid mechanics, the pressure reducing valve is a throttling element whose local resistance can be changed. That is, by changing the throttling area, the flow rate and the kinetic energy of the fluid are changed, resulting in different pressure losses, thereby achieving the purpose of pressure reduction. Then rely on the adjustment of the control and regulation system to balance the fluctuation of pressure behind the valve with the spring force, so that the pressure behind the valve remains constant within a certain error range.
Although there is a large head loss when the water flows through the pressure reducing valve, it is still energy-saving in general because it reduces the waste of water, makes the system flow distribution reasonable, and improves the system layout and working conditions. When the medium is steam, it is advisable to use a pilot piston type pressure reducing valve or a pilot bellows type pressure reducing valve. For the convenience of operation, adjustment and maintenance, pressure reducing valves should generally be installed on horizontal pipelines.
Principle of operation:
The pressure reducing valve relies on the local resistance of the flow channel in the valve to the water flow to reduce the water pressure. The range of the water pressure drop is automatically adjusted by the membrane connecting the valve disc or the difference in water pressure between the inlet and outlet on both sides of the piston. The principle of constant ratio pressure reduction is to use the water pressure ratio control of the floating piston in the valve body. The pressure reduction ratio at the inlet and outlet ends is inversely proportional to the piston area ratio at the inlet and outlet sides. This kind of pressure reducing valve works smoothly and without vibration; there is no spring in the valve body, so there is no concern about spring corrosion or metal fatigue failure; the sealing performance is good and does not leak, so it reduces both dynamic pressure (when water flows) and static pressure (the flow rate is 0); especially when reducing pressure without affecting water flow.
Working principle:
The pressure reducing valve controls the opening of the opening and closing parts in the valve body to adjust the flow of the medium and reduce the pressure of the medium. At the same time, it uses the pressure behind the valve to adjust the opening of the opening and closing parts to maintain the pressure behind the valve. Within a certain range, cooling water is sprayed into the valve body or behind the valve to reduce the temperature of the medium.
