Product Description

Kamroo Valve offers a comprehensive range of stainless steel Butterfly Valves in a variety of body styles and materials to address critical process requirements in diverse industries such as hydrocarbon, power, chemicals & fertiliser, water, etc. The product range covers valves in ASME classes up to 1500, in sizes up to 100" (2500 mm), in carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steels, suitable for temperatures from -196°C to 538°C. Based on customer requirements, valves in higher pressure classes, larger sizes and other materials are also offered. 

 

Stainless Steel butterfly valves offer several advantages over other types of butterfly valves, particularly those with elastomeric seals:

High Temperature Resistance: Metal seals can withstand higher temperatures compared to elastomeric seals. This makes metal seal butterfly valves suitable for applications involving high-temperature fluids or environments.

Chemical Compatibility: Metal seals are more chemically resistant than elastomeric seals. They can handle a broader range of fluids, including corrosive and abrasive media, without degradation or deterioration.

Longer Service Life: Due to their robust construction and resistance to wear and tear, metal seal butterfly valves tend to have a longer service life compared to valves with elastomeric seals. This can result in lower maintenance costs and reduced downtime for replacement or repair.

Tight Shutoff: Metal seals provide a tighter shutoff compared to elastomeric seals, especially in high-pressure applications. This ensures better control over flow rates and minimizes leakage, enhancing overall system efficiency.

The stainelss steel butterfly valve regulates flow by rotating the disc within the flow path. When the valve is fully open, the disc is positioned parallel to the flow direction, allowing fluid to pass through with minimal obstruction. Conversely, when the valve is closed, the disc is rotated perpendicular to the flow, blocking the passage of fluid.
