The flat gate valve is a sliding valve whose closing member is a parallel gate, and its closing member can be a single gate or a double gate with a spreading mechanism in between.
Resilient Seated Gate Valve (PN 16, F5) has a flat valve bottom that allows free passage of sand and gravel in the valve. If impurities pass through when the valve is closing, the rubber surface closes around the impurities when the valve is closed.
They are valves that give way to the fluid and stop the flow by the movement of the flapper called gate in the vertical plane by means of a worm screw shaft. Gate valves are not adjustment valves and should be used as fully open or fully closed. Perfect sealing is ensured by the soft gasket coating on the slider.
The flow resistance is small, and the flow resistance without shrinkage is similar to the flow resistance of a short tube. The flat gate valve with pilot hole is installed on the pipeline and can also be cleaned directly with a vacuum cleaner.
Since the gate makes the two valve seat surfaces change, the flat gate valve can also be applied to the medium with suspended particles. The sealing surface of the flat gate valve is actually automatically positioned, and the sealing surface of the valve seat is not damaged by the thermal deformation of the valve body.
In addition, thermal elongation of the valve stem does not overload the sealing surfaces, even if the valve is closed in a cold state. In addition, when the valve is closed, the flat gate valve without the pilot hole does not require high precision in the flapper closing position, so the opening and closing position can be controlled by the electric flat valve stroke.
A flat gate valve operates by using a flat gate or disc to control the flow of fluids within a pipeline. Here's a step-by-step explanation of how it works:
Valve Closed Position: In the closed position, the flat gate rests perpendicular to the flow of the fluid, effectively blocking the passage of the fluid through the valve. The gate is held in place by the valve body and is in contact with the valve seats on either side to provide a tight seal.
Valve Opening: To open the valve, an operator or automated system applies force to the gate, moving it along its path of travel away from the valve seats. As the gate moves, the fluid is allowed to flow through the valve, following the open pathway created by the gate.
Fluid Flow: With the gate in the open position, fluid flows freely through the valve with minimal obstruction. The full bore design of many flat gate valves ensures that the internal diameter of the valve matches that of the pipeline, minimizing pressure drop and maximizing flow capacity.
Valve Closing: To close the valve, the gate is moved back into its perpendicular position, effectively blocking the flow of fluid through the valve. The gate returns to its closed position by the force of gravity or through the use of external mechanisms such as actuators or hand-operated mechanisms.
1. For oil and natural gas transmission lines, choose a flat gate valve with a single gate or a double gate. If line cleaning is required, choose a rising stem flat gate valve with single or dual gate pilot holes.
2. The product oil conveying line and storage equipment use flat gate valve with single gate or double gate without diversion hole.
3. Oil and natural gas extraction wellhead devices use single-gate or double-gate flat gate valves with guide holes on the hidden stem floating valve seat
4. Select small flat gate valve for pipeline with suspended particle medium.
5. The city gas transmission line uses single gate or double gate soft-sealed rising stem flat gate valve.
6. During the construction of urban tap water, choose a flat gate valve with a single gate or a double-layer gate without guide.
Flat gate valves with diversion holes are used for pipelines that require clear pipe ball, and flat gate valves without diversion holes are used for pipelines that do not require clear pipe ball.
