Metal Seated Ball Valve is manufactured for high temperature up to 540ºC (may be higher based on the material of body and trim) or abrasion resistance. Relia Metal Seated Ball Valves are Zero leakage (bubble tight seal). Metal Seated Ball Valve is also called metal to metal ball valve, as the seat and ball are made from metal.
Metal Seated Ball Valve VS Soft Seated
Metal seated ball valves are introduced when soft seated ball valves are not suitable with the fluid.
Applications:
Soft seated ball valves are suitable for the working temperature lower than 260ºC(when PEEK seat is introduced), while metal seated ball valves are suitable for temperature up to 540ºC (may be higher based on the material of body and trim).
Another reason to choose metal seated ball valves are due to its feature of abrasion resistant, while soft seated is not.
a) Unique, the metal seated ball valve with patented single-seat ball valve design. It has a flat spring set acting through a hard-faced bearing against the bottom ball shaft which provides sufficient initial ball-seat load for valve tightness, even at low delta P.
b) Metal seated ball valve proven in qualification tests and field operation to be solids-proof, even for the toughest applications on slurry service with solids particles.
c) Tightness rates: Allowable leakage rate at full Delta P: ASME/ FCI 70-2 Class VI/V. Tighter shutoff available upon request.

e) Uni-directional or bi-directional sealing
The valve plate of the high-temperature sanitary ball valve and the sealing surface of the valve seat are oblique conical structures with temperature and corrosion-resistance alloy material welded on the inclined cone surface of the valve plate. These specialized alloys allow the valve plate and seat to withstand routine wear and tear caused by corrosive chemicals and abrasive mediums.
The spring fixed between regulating ring pressure plates is assembled together with the regulating bolt on the pressure plate. This structure effectively compensates for the tolerance zone between the sleeve and the valve body as well as the valve stem's elastic deformation from the system's high pressure. These components solve the valve's sealing problem in the process of two-way interchangeable medium transportation.
